POSTPONED: How to See the Housing Sector: The Roots of the US Housing Data Ecosystem

Location: Online

Speaker(s): Tommy Shay Hill

What role can statistical information play in relieving America’s housing crisis? This question is as pertinent today as it was in the 1920s, when the federal government began developing statistical techniques to assess the state of the nation’s housing. In this talk, Tommy Shay Hill, a Meyer Fellow who received his PhD in Urban Planning from Harvard last spring, will provide an historical perspective on the country’s housing data ecosystem.
